Sharing our findings with the LSCP

Yesterday two of our team, Bill and Emma, went to present our latest research on customer reviews in the legal sector to the Legal Services Consumer Panel. There were some great discussion points in the meeting and lots of ideas about how the sector can help consumers choose the right firms for them.

One of the key areas of discussion was the importance of being able to compare at a practice area level, not comparing entire firms. Our research has shown that there is a 20% difference in average ratings for practice areas, meaning firms with large family practices will have lower scores than firms with large conveyancing practices. Unfortunately at the moment this is not something consumers are able to see on sites such as Trustpilot, but hopefully regulators will push for this visibility to improve in the coming years.
